The Power of Video Marketing

At the moment, video rules! It is the quickest way to get your website list through Google and sometimes, put you on the first page of organic search, due to the fact they have priority but to stay there, you need to be posting good quality, short video regularly to reap the rewards.

Video Marketing Tips - Is YouTube the Only Game in Town?

There are two things about video that can’t be denied. One of them is that video marketing is all the rage today. Everybody and their grandmother is getting into it. The other is that YouTube is the king of video sites. Together, this is one explosive combination for getting your videos seen. But is YouTube the only game in town? The answer is no. This article is going to give you a few options in addition to YouTube that will perform just as well if not better.

Let’s start off with one of the best options that nobody even thinks of…your own site. Yes, your own site.

Please understand something. When you’re sending somebody to YouTube, or any other video site, you’re competing with millions of other videos. When you send somebody to your OWN site, you are competing with nobody. A well written article in a hot niche, sent to your own site or blog, can turn many visitors into buyers and not just into somebody who’s going to run off to the next video on their play list. Don’t ignore your own VRE.

However, if you want to play the video site game, another great site, in addition to YouTube is Google Video. Google, of course, owns YouTube, and their own video sharing site has an even higher page rank than YouTube. Google Video gets a massive amount of traffic and you’re certainly going to get your share of eyeballs to your productions. The upload video process is just as easy as YouTube’s. Actually, it’s even easier because you don’t have to go through all these menus in your account to find it. It’s right there on page one as soon as you go to the main site, as long as you’re logged into your Google account.

Another great site is MySpace. Yeah, I know…MySpace is so yesterday. Well guess what? There are still millions of people who use it. And the good thing about using MySpace, as opposed to using other sites, is that you can also develop a web presence with it. In addition to your videos you can have so many other things like articles and links to other sites, all there in plain view and easy to find…unlike YouTube which pretty much has any “other” info buried.

Point is, YouTube is NOT the only game in town for videos. By using your own domain, Google, MySpace of any of the other 50 or so top video sharing sites, you can generate a video marketing campaign that can really bring in some heavy duty traffic.

They say you need to keep up with the times and video is a powerful media right now! Make them factual and to the point, then put your web address on it. So take advantage while it lasts because nothing lasts forever.
